Lane splitting is legal, and I found the Dutch to be a bit more cautious and patient when lane splitting than what I was used to.

The biggest highways in the Netherlands will normally have a speed limit of 130 km/h, while only being 100 km/h in more urban areas

You’ll find plenty of motorcycle gear stores in the Netherlands, although there isn’t really a main chain throughout the country.
What do I need to legally drive/rent a motorcycle in the Netherlands?
If you have an EU or UK license, you should be good to go! If you’re from another country, there may be other regulations.
For Americans, you can drive using your state driving license for 185 days. Although International Driver’s Permits may not always be required, it’s best to have one ready in case they ever ask for it. You can obtain them at your local AAA office.
